What Is CACI?

CACI is a muscle firming treatment designed to define facial contours and achieve wrinkle-free, toned skin. A big favourite amongst celebrities!

Is CACI Right For Me?

This clinically proven treatment is completely safe and suitable for all skin types. However our therapist will give you a full consultation before deciding what treatment is best for you.

How Does CACI Work?

As we grow older our facial muscles naturally start to lose tone and elasticity. Genetics, lifestyle, weight fluctuation and environmental factors can all influence the rate and degree to which our muscles will lose their tone.

Following over 20 years of research and development by CACI International, we can now offer a non surgical solution to combat loss of muscle tone using CACI micro current facial toning therapy.

Micro current therapy was originally developed as a medical application to treat facial palsy and muscle tone was restored by applying tiny micro-current electrical impulses to the affected muscles.

During each treatment session, facial muscles are gently manipulated and re-educated by our trained therapist using a series of precise movements. Firming serum, cotton tipped wands are used on the face to transmit the micro-current energy to the facial muscles to restore tone and elasticity.

A visible difference can be seen after the very first treatment but a course of ten treatments is generally recommended for lasting results, with a monthly top up treatment to maintain results.

After a course of CACI facial toning treatments facial contours will look lifted and toned.

What Does The Treatment Feel Like?

The micro current works in harmony with your bodies bio-electrical field, making it extremely comfortable for the user. If you have dry skin you may experience a mild tingling sensation but it will never be uncomfortable. Again, full details will be given during your consultation.

Is There Any 'Down Time'?

No, you can carry on with your day straight after your treatment!

What Can CACI Do For Me?

Lines/Wrinkles

Facial wrinkles are caused by a number of factors:

  • Dynamic lines - these are wrinkles that are caused by contraction of the muscles of facial expression. Repeated compression of the skin results in visable wrinkles without compression of the muscle.
  • Sleep lines – These are caused by the compression of the skin from contact of the pillow to the face when sleeping. Their location is determined by the underlying attachments of the muscles of the face. Pillow contact puts pressure on these attachments and causes sleep lines. Sleep lines can often be found on the forehead, around the eyes, cheeks and upper lip, and are not created by muscle contraction.
  • Other External Factors – Sun damage, smoking and poor diet can also cause a thinning of the skin, de-hydration and a break down of collagen leading to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.

Skin re-surfacing technology, such as a CACI ultrasonic peel can help to reduce the signs of premature lines and wrinkles by stimulating the production of new collagen. Hydrating treatments such as a CACI hydratone mask can help to re-hydrate the skin and plump out deep lines and wrinkles. CACI’s unique mask is used with positive and negative electrical currents to push the ingredients further into the skin maximising the masks beneficial qualities, intensively hydrating the skin with:

  • Hyaluronic acid (which is naturally found in the skin but depletes with age, lifestyle and environmental factors)
  • Vitamin C (which is essential for skin healing)
  • Vitamin E (an antioxidant responsible for protecting the skin from toxins such as pollution.)

Acne/Blemishes

All acne is a disorder of the sebaceous glands. Sebaceous glands produce a substance called sebum, which is responsible for keeping the skin moisturized. During adolescence sebaceous glands enlarge and produce more sebum under the influence of hormones, also called androgens.

After about age 20, sebum production begins to decrease. Problems arise when the sebum becomes trapped in the skin and hair follicles. The sebum is produced but gets trapped on the way out, and the cells that are normally sloughed off become "sticky", plugging up the follicle. The process of obstructing follicles is called comedogenesis. It causes some follicles to form a type of acne called comedones, also known as blackheads and whiteheads.

Treatment methods that slough off the dead skin cells like a CACI ultrasonic peel can prevent sebum from becoming trapped in the follicles.

Skin Peeling

As we age, the automatic process of exfoliation and cell renewal slows down. Sometimes the body needs a little help. The removal of the dead skin cells reveals the softer more youthful looking skin cells underneath.

The superficial abrasion of the skin also triggers the body’s own natural repair mechanism which triggers the production of new collagen and releases glycoaminoglycans in order to rehydrate and replenish the recently abraded area. This has a remarkable softening action on surface lines and wrinkles.

A CACI ultrasonic peel provides a far gentler and less aggressive alternative to traditional microdermabrasion methods of skin exfoliation.
